Directive (EU) 2024/1799
Right to Repair Directive
In short
A directive that applies through national law. Its repair duties cover only listed goods, such as washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators, vacuum cleaners, mobile phones, tablets and e-bikes; no textile or food product is currently listed. For all consumer goods sold under contracts concluded from 31 July 2026, a seller that repairs an item under the legal guarantee has its liability on that item extended once by 12 months.
Whether your Member State has transposed the directive on time is a national question, so check your returns and repair policy against national law.
