Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011

In force Binds companies directly Reaches SMEs
In short

The Textile Labelling Regulation binds companies directly and applies to every textile product, including those made by small firms such as a knitwear brand or a regional garment maker. The manufacturer must label or mark each product with its fibre composition, using the recognised fibre names, and the duty extends to importers and distributors. It has applied since 8 May 2012.

A revision was planned for 2026, but as of 22 August 2026 no proposal has been published.
