ESPR delegated act for textiles and apparel - not yet adopted

The ESPR delegated act for textiles and apparel has not yet been adopted; it is where the ecodesign requirements and the textile Digital Product Passport will be set. Delegated acts under the Ecodesign Regulation apply by product, not by company size, so small textile businesses will be bound directly once it applies. The ESPR Working Plan gives 2027 as the indicative year of adoption.

A delegated act normally cannot apply until 18 months after it enters into force, so first compliance is realistically 2028 to 2029.
