Industrial Emissions Directive revision - the amending directive, cited by its own number

Directive (EU) 2024/1785 revises the Industrial Emissions Directive, including its scope for livestock rearing, and applies only through national law. Until a country transposes it, permit authorities there still apply the earlier text. The deadline of 1 July 2026 passed without any Member State notifying complete transposition, and on 25 September 2026 the Commission opened infringement procedures against all 27.
