Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/2508
BAT conclusions for the textiles industry under the Industrial Emissions Directive
In short
These conclusions hold the actual emission limits for large textile pre-treatment and dyeing plants under the Industrial Emissions Directive. They apply only where treatment capacity exceeds 10 tonnes a day, or to an independently operated wastewater plant mainly serving such activities; below that they do not apply. Above it, permits carry limits for discharges to water and air, plus requirements on chemicals management and energy and water use, applied through national permitting.
Existing installations must comply by 20 December 2026, so permit variation work needs to be done well before that date.
