Floods Directive
In short
The Floods Directive places every obligation on Member States and their river basin authorities: assess flood risk, draw hazard and risk maps, and write and review flood risk management plans. No threshold, permit, product rule or report reaches a business. A small water utility may be consulted on a flood risk management plan but files nothing.
The current flood risk management plans cover 2022 to 2027, and the next plans are due by 22 December 2027.
